God shouts His love to us in so many ways. Keep your eyes and ears open, and don't miss out!

Sometimes it's hard to know how to read the Bible!

Sometimes it's hard to know how to read the Bible! We want to share a 10-15 minute method that can be done each day to add depth to your study.
1. Search Google or Pinterest for a monthly list on a theme that you want to study. Eg. Fear, Trusting God, Praise, Temptation, etc. Print or write out the verses.
2. Make a quick weekly chart on your computer with the following titles: Passage; Key Words; What I Learned (about God/others/me); Application
3. You can also handwrite this into a Bible journal.
Spend time in prayer, then read the passage, looking for words and lessons that stand out to you. Ask God how to apply them to your life. Creative people could also letter a verse or phrase each day.
This method can be done alongside a Bible reading plan. Our students read the Bible in a year, which is great, but this method let's you dig deeper into Scripture, especially when you have an issue on your heart and really want to explore it with God.

We had a Zoom reunion for Portantorchas students from 2008 and 2009. It was so heart-warming and encouraging to see their faces - and the faces of their spouses, kids, cats, and dogs! It's been over 10 years since we've seen most of them, and we still feel connected.
One of the benefits of the shut-down is the awareness of how easy, and even necessary, it is to connect long-distance. And another benefit - to recognize how God has so deeply stitched all of these students into our hearts.
Our prayer is that will God continue to lead and grow them to be bold witnesses in this hurting world.
He is the answer; He is our peace.

Our gardener, Don Álvaro, only comes to work 2 days a week during quarantine, so it's a good thing we have another helper to clean up the property 😉
In other news, we know that this is a stressful time for many of you! Maybe you are feeling anxious, jobless, worried about your future plans, etc. We would love to use our time to pray for you or talk with you over Skype or Whatsapp. If you have any requests, please DM us or write to our staff emails directly. Don't be shy. We are here to support each other in this crazy time!

What a joy to see some of our students this morning on "Port Church"! It is encouraging to see that they continue to walk with the Lord and that they value the friendships they made here.

Our last group of students left today. It's a strange feeling: What is next?
God knows the road ahead for all of us, so we will do what we told THEM to do: Trust in the Lord. Stay close to Him. This is not just an end, but also a new beginning! Be excited for what God is going to do.
